How would you like to spend the day dabbling in a new activity such as watercolour, jewellery making, upholstery or learning how to use natural dyes to colour wool? Under the guidance of talented professionals, with no pressure, now you can.
If you are not sure that a full day at one activity is the right thing for you, then an immersive, creative and mindful day with us is the answer. With a maximum of 12 participants, split into two smaller groups, each group will spend half a day with each artist.
Other taster days dabbling in other skills will be available in due course.
An example of your day would unfold as follows:
10 am. Arrival and coffee.
Morning session with Julia - a local and hugely talented artist. Enjoy a relaxing and calm 2 hours, learning how to paint with gouache, a thick water-based paint under the guidance and expert lead of Julia. All materials are provided.
Elevenses with cake will be provided during the morning.
Lunch: an exquisite feast made freshly and ready for you, from fresh, local ingredients. Wash it down with a drink of your choice. For a group booking, prosecco can be added for a small additional charge.
Afternoon:
The perfect balance to the morning - experiment with relief clay printing. Jenny, another local lady is a true Artisan who produces exquisite plaques made from flowers gathered from her Dales garden.
Everything you need will be provided.
At the end of the day, you will have had an abundance of inspiration, support and creativity, and will have experienced a real feel and flavour using both gouache and clay.
