Let me introduce Diane....
How did you get into upholstery?
Mum had been an upholsterer for about 15 years when she took on a job to reupholster 48 cafe chairs for a client. I stood in to help and the rest is history!
What is your favourite part of the process?
This is easy to answer - it's standing back and looking at a finished chair and knowing that is has been saved from landfill!
Whose work inspires you?
Another easy one to answer - my Mum and my brother both inspire me - their imagination and dedication is amazing. William Morris was pretty good too!
What was your biggest upholstery disaster?
When I was first starting, I stood back to admire a piece I had just finished, but only then at point, I realised that I'd put the fabric on upside down. Time to start it all over again!
What is your favourite project?
Easy! The next one!
What was your favourite project?
My favourite ever project was working for the National Trust. So proud of that achievement!
